definitely no shade on using AI. I love it and I use it every day... just not really the consumer-facing chat products.
the massaging it to be my own voice thing has turned out to be really tricky... even the best and newest models, no matter how I prompt them, it almost always ends up stripping some of the life out of them. it's hard to put my finger on exactly what it's doing... but i'm experimenting with some different approaches. Mostly just not expecting it's output to be the thing... more like a middle-man thinking partner who helps me with structure and then rewriting myself.

There is an element of this AI shit that felt like…not wanting to be ‘left behind’ with the latest tech (aka millennials not wanting to be like the boomers), and I think so many folks wanting to be on the ‘cutting edge’ of it all, that they got completely lost in the AI sauce (including myself there to some degree).
On the plus side, if anything, it has made me value human-made ANYTHING more desirable and meaningful to me on every level. And it has reiterated and reignited my passion for ‘analog’ creation and real voices, real faces, REAL SHIT.

I saw Twitter is dropping the hammer on bots and auto posted garbage but Meta and IG are gonna profit max, IG executives have said they won’t try to stop the slop.

I've been around... just behind the scenes, I suppose. I turned my IG account off about a year ago because I just wasn't having fun with it. Considering coming back and seeing what's what, though.

But even then, it wasn't ever really about the video, it was more about getting over whatever the hell was in the way of recording it...
Seems to me that people are genuinely frustrated and annoyed with anything that feels like AI... so who the fuck knows. I do love the coding tools, though.

I put that into AI and it spits out, "Great question! Here’s the info and a helpful link."
I think it's a great tool for business that way - you just have to massage it to be your own voice. I am offending a lot less people.
