I’ve always felt like a guy who doesn’t have easy access to his emotions — to his feelings.
For as long as I can remember, that’s the story I’ve been telling myself.
Ask me how I’m feeling and I’m probably gonna say “I’m cool” or “I’m alright.”
You’re not gonna get much more than that.
But my writing (and content, in general) indicates otherwise.
I’m one feeling motherfucker.
You ever heard of “interiority?”
In the context of writing, interiority is a character’s thoughts, feelings, reactions, and inner struggles. It’s when you go into your character’s head to add context, meaning, humor, or emotion to a situation.
A few days ago, someone pointed out to me that I’m pretty damn good at using interiority to make myself — and my content — more interesting.
Listen to this 4m clip to learn more about how you can do it too.
