And yeah, Suzanne is a G. Very sharp woman. We started by talking about email stuff, but ended up talking about all sorts of cool things re: hiring/managing teachers, business culture, etc. I love working with her because she executes and goes fast.
That’s amazing. Would love to connect with her (hi Suzanne if you see this 👋👋)
& Thank you for saying that Ry. Sometimes it feels like a lot to hold & to navigate when I’m trying something new, but it’s been great to receive your guidance because I’m willing to do something when I’m somewhat being told exactly what to do, if that makes sens 😂
If you’re willing, I’d love to know what you use to take the sound from the phone recording to overlay on the zoom. I usually have a crispier phone recording but haven’t fiddled with this up level for zoom recordings 🙏🏻
Generally, you'll have crispier audio on the zoom recording if you're using a USB microphone. Especially if you have your phone setup like i'm describing here... as it's further away.
(I'm currently traveling and using a shitty ~$35 one from amazon. It's still better than the onboard macbook one. Obviously this only applies to my/your side... everyone else's audio depends on their setup)
But regardless, the problem you're describing here is about syncing audio... whether it's the phone track, the microphone/zoom track, etc. Most video editing software has this capability... Adobe Premiere makes it super easy, for sure.
But there's also super slick video, free editing program called DaVinci Resolve. I haven't used it in a long time, but i imagine it has a similar feature. Otherwise, it doesn't take very much work to do it manually.
You just have to align the soundwaves in the timeline... you just drag and shift it over until you get it right.
Does this help?
If there's enough interest in this idea, I can make a video that shows how to do it. I was considering making some sort of video library like this for paid subscribers here. There are probably a billion technical things like this I can show you to make your life/work easier.
LOVE this ! Great idea with the different videos.
And I got a lot from what Suzanne was saying - about getting ppl to respond, prompting then so they feel included.
Thanks, Dani. Glad you liked it.

Hey Jennifer. For sure. I use Adobe Premiere.
